A presentation of the book “Economic Science and Georgia’s Economy” dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Doctor of Economic Sciences, TSU Professor, Academician Vladimer (Lado) Papava was held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).
During the event, TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, presented Vladimer Papava with the Philippe Gogichaishvili Medal in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of Georgian economic science.
“Today we celebrate Mr. Lado Papava’s successful scientific career and present this book in honor of his important anniversary. Papava’s active and fruitful work is well-known; he is the author of over 500 works in various languages. Georgian economic thought has been enriched by this scientist, who has made an outstanding contribution to the field. He has authored a number of important monographs published in both Georgia and abroad. On behalf of the Academic Council, I congratulate Mr. Papava on this remarkable day and thank the team that participated in creating this interesting and valuable book,” said Jaba Samushia.
The book “Economic Science and the Economy of Georgia” is a collection of scientific articles that includes works prepared specifically for this publication by Georgian scientists.
The book’s scientific editors are Doctor of Economic Sciences, TSU Professor Elguja Mekvabishvili and Doctor of Economic Sciences, TSU Associate Professor Givi Bedianashvili.
The book was published with the support of the Grigol Robakidze University Scientific Research and Creative Initiative Development Foundation.
